Leading technology companies, PT. Digdaya Solusi Teknologi,
Badan Intelijen Negara, and Nutanix, joined forces in response to Lenovo's exclusive
invitation to unveil cutting-edge innovations. The event took place in Barcelona,
celebrated as the "City of the Future", on September 25, 2023.
MareNostrum 5 (MN5) will be a top-of-the-range supercomputer, with a peak performance of 314 Pflops,
or 314 million billion calculations per second, and more than 200 petabytes of storage and 400 petabytes
of active archive. This supercomputer will be specifically tailored to strengthen European medical
research through drug research, the development of vaccines, virus spread simulations as well as
artificial intelligence and big data processing applications. The machine will also support traditional
HPC applications, such as climate research, engineering, material science and earth sciences.
This event in Barcelona, a hub for forward-thinking initiatives, attracted tech enthusiasts, industry leaders, and government officials eager to witness the future of technology firsthand.
